Hiya! Here’s my portfolio! ✨
WHO AM I? I’m a creative who writes, creates content, models, and acts. I’m pretty good at managing, translating, collaborating, and providing presentations and workshops.
EXPERIENCE: I have worked in a range of settings from academia, a research lab, student organizations, to programs, camps, and competitions with deaf and CODA youth, plus a nonprofit organization, a digital journal, a small deaf-owned pizzeria, a captioning and production company, a full-stack marketing company, and currently a school for the deaf. Each and every one of these opportunities have taught me key lessons and given me valuable skills. I continue to learn and evolve as a person and team player every day, and I am extremely grateful for each experience and opportunity.
PASSIONS: My passions include bilingual education and advocacy for Deaf individuals, ASL and English translation, accessibility and inclusion, and community connection. For me, it’s all about setting a foundation of love, full language and information access, growth, and lifelong learning – in all I do!
LOOKING AHEAD: What’s next? My heart, mind, and DMs are open! 🦋

If you ask me what my childhood consisted of, the first thing I’d tell you is books, books, books. Teleportation was a daily activity – to dive into worlds and wonderlands, and to shape shift into all these different kinds of characters and creatures. Gosh, what fun! It’s a superpower, a sacred art. And now my fingers take over, whether it’s typing rapidly on a keyboard, or waving in the air as I tell a story in my native language – ASL.
Fun fact: Had a 2 ½ year stint translating and captioning ASL videos for a living, and have transcribed over 2,000 hours of content – tru biz! I love being bilingual, I love writing and signing, and using any combination of my two languages in a bunch of different ways! This also means bending the rules sometimes 🙂

I deeply believe in the power of personal experiences and stories, and each person’s ability to make an impact. Together, as the unique individuals we are, we become stronger as a collective. This is the power of community.
There is so much information out there that is still inaccessible – within education, entertainment, and more. Universal accessibility is not yet a reality, but what I do know is real is that members of our Deaf and signing community, and all marginalized communities, hold immense value. For all of us to have a seat at the table would mean tremendous shifts to the way we live, think, and behave on all levels. With patience, passion, purpose, and hard work and action, along with compassion, the world will become a better place for all, but it can’t happen without us. I can’t even begin to encapsulate all of the potential that all of us hold and what the world, and the way we live, might be like as it transforms with us. So, I am here to share the little expertise and insight I have to offer in a variety of topics via special projects, public speaking, and the like. I’m also here to push for the pritorization of giving opportunities and platforms to the massive, and amazing, pool of talents and perspectives out there that has been historically largely neglected to be recognized and heard, celebrated, and honored.
Maybe the next possibility is something we can work on together. Teamwork makes the dream work, after all!
